Shipping of vehicles
The shipment of cars is so popular at Zimtownship that every week we have a vessel departing the United Kingdom for Durban. There are several different options for shipping your car.
If you plan to ship your vehicle along with your personal effects, both can be loaded into a steel shipping container. Alternatively, you may wish to ship your car in a steel container on its own.
Your car would be loaded, lashed & secured within the container to ensure a safe transit.We also provide a roll on/off service, which involves your car being driven onto a ship at the port of sailing and driven off at destination. There are dedicated vessels that provide this service and the interior is similar to that of a multi storey car park. Regardless of the method, we will ship your vehicle safely into Zimbabwe.
We offer several packages for this service:
Bronze Package: This involves you delivering your car to the UK port and we ship it only up to Durban. You organize the port paperwork and transportation from South Africa to the Zimbabwe.
Silver Package: With this option you deliver your car to the port and we ship it to Durban. However, when it gets to Durban, we process all the paperwork and delivery of the vehicle to the Zimbabwe side of Beitbridge with a full tank of fuel. You will then handle the Zimbabwe customs clearance formalities.
Gold Package: This involves the entire Silver package plus we handle and pay all the Zimbabwe Customs dues, then deliver the vehicle to your chosen address in Zimbabwe. We will provide you the Customs documentation for your records thereafter.
Gold ++ Package: This involves the entire Gold package, plus all standard registration formalities in Zimbabwe (excluding personalized plates!), complete valeting and delivery of the vehicle to your chosen address in Zimbabwe.
